About Elizabeth

As a designer I try to take in everything I see because you never know what random thing will inspire your next big idea. I love to travel and to eat, and especially to eat when I travel. I think food and art are two of the best ways to get to know a new culture. Some of my other favorite pastimes include gardening, hiking, playing the piano, and photography. Many photographs you see on this site are available for purchase on Society6 and Curioos. I grew up drawing and painting (watercolors mostly), entering art contests instead of sports competitions. That lead naturally to an education and career in Graphic Design. I still enjoy watercolor painting, and run an Etsy store to sell my work. Recently I illustrated a children’s book in watercolors. Check it out here! I also have some of my digital designs for sale on Zazzle and RedBubble. I grew up in Utah (USA), but now live in Okinawa, Japan. Whether it's mountains, desert, or ocean, no matter where I am I find nature to be source of both rejuvenation and inspiration. Right now that means I spend as much time as possible at the beach.
